“BLP Abogados promotes two associates to partners”
BLP is pleased to announce the promotion of two of its senior associates to partners. Vivian Liberman and Andrés López both with extensive experience in banking and finance deals, will be heading the Banking Department of BLP Abogados.
For many years, Vivian has leaded the team in charge of providing services to local banks with regards to the granting of commercial loans and mortgages. She has also worked on numerous deals regarding financing by multilateral agencies to local banks and corporations in Costa Rica. She also practices on matters related to corporate and commercial law advising foreign and local companies in their day-to-day operations. Vivian has been recognized by international publications, such as Chambers and Partners, as a rising leader in her field of work. Vivian graduated with the highest honors from the University of Costa Rica School of Law (suma cum laude) and obtained her Master's of law from Harvard Law School. After graduating from Harvard, she worked as a Foreign Associate at Greenberg Traurig in New York.
Andrés López has represented domestic and international banks and financial institutions in a wide range of transactions over the years. His extensive experience includes both the transactional-operational and the regulatory side of the banking industry. He has also represented lenders and issuers in other aspects of the financial activity, such as securitizations, derivatives, leasing structures and investment funds. He also practices in Real Estate, Civil and Commercial Litigation and Corporate Law. His leading capabilities and technical background have allowed him to participate with clients in relevant transactions and litigations with excellent results.
